We all crave a little external validation, don't we? I used to think I was above it, but then V-ALL came along. When it wasn't my heart and soul on the line, a job was just a job, and walking away after a bad day wasn't a big deal. Now, I yearn for a chorus of "Good idea!" and "This is exciting!" It's not about personal glory, but about the confirmation that V-ALL is making a real impact and disrupting the world of giving.
The past few weeks have been a wave of validation. It started with a simple message from Neha, a school friend in Bombay whose child is in the same age group we serve. "Jenny and her friends would love something like this," she wrote. "They have no options in school but need to do community service for credits. Tell me when you come to Bombay, and I'll introduce you to many parents who are friends." Neha's message was just the beginning. As I spoke to other parents across India, they echoed the same sentiment.
The positive feedback doesn't stop there. Students in Delhi NCR, from both high school and college, engage with V-ALL in exciting ways. They're not just participating – they're eager to continue past their internship pilots and even inviting their friends to join the next round. It's a clear sign we're on the right track.
We've also been talking to mentors, potential funders, partners, and NGO leaders. While some are already considering funding or collaboration, all of them are excited about what V-ALL is building. Some have even seen revenue models in our approach that I hadn't even considered. A few have even confidently stated that V-ALL will be profitable, it's just a matter of time. One even suggested, "Why just profitable? Why not build a social enterprise that could go public?"
Sure, some might call that delusional, but that's the kind of fuel that keeps me going. All of these interactions remind me of the immense potential of V-ALL. We have the power to connect passionate individuals with the organizations that need them most, creating a positive ripple effect.
Here's what this experience has taught me:
- The impact is a two-way street. Building a platform that empowers others empowers you as well. Witnessing the positive change V-ALL enables is incredibly rewarding.
- Validation matters. Appreciation from all stakeholders reminds us we're on the right track and motivates us to keep building.
- This journey is just beginning. Every message of appreciation fuels our commitment to continue innovating and expanding V-ALL. We're excited to see what kind of positive impact we can create together in the future.
